The soccer team of Milan asked, today, for the complete absolution of the team and the directors Adriano Galliani and Leonardo Meani, through a very intense intervention of the defendant lawyer of the team, Marco De Luca, in the frame of the scandal of corruption that the Italian soccer has been involved in.
De Luca expressed to the Federal Court of Italian Soccer Federation that: “No illicit act was committed and this sanction is illegitimate”.
The Club Milan was sanctioned with the withdrawal of 44 points of the first division championship 2005/06 and another penalization of 15 extra points for the championship of the next season.
In the betting scandal of Italy, the team that was prejudiced the most was the Juventus who, in addition of having descended to the B Series, it has also lost most of its recognized figures to the hands of the big teams of Europe.
